Woodbridge, NJ (February 21, 2012) – A leader in broadband consulting services and a driving force among broadband standards-setting organizations, RCC Consultants, Inc. has recognized the need for a dedicated practice to support our clients with evolving broadband technologies. We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Broadband Consulting Group.
RCC’s Broadband Consulting Group brings together the company’s business, engineering, program management, legal and spectrum experts, who will assist agencies and organizations in developing plans for and implementing this new technology.
RCC is currently assisting Charlotte, N.C. with the plan, design and launch of the first hosted-core solution in the country, developed with Broadband Technology Opportunity Program (BTOP) grant funding. RCC is also helping the West Virginia Statewide Interoperability Executive Committee to develop a plan and strategy to deploy a broadband infrastructure over the 700 MHz spectrum for an interoperable public safety wireless broadband network for the State of West Virginia.
Both of these networks will provide mobile wireless broadband access to public safety entities, enabling them to stream live video from the field, download critical maps and files and generally enhance interoperability of data sharing among government agencies.

RCC is also expanding our ComSite software suite to support LTE systems. Our new ComSiteLTE product will provide LTE system coverage and capacity design, as well as multiple modules to analyze mission critical operational scenarios based upon each agency’s unique applications and user devices. This information can be used to plan LTE system design, priority mapping, migration from LMR networks and more. But uniquely it will address LTE systems from the special requirements perspective of mission critical agencies, whose use cases differ greatly from public carriers.
